Johnny B. is a one-of-a-kind solo performing artist. He weaves stories and music into a fascinating and moving show, which is so full of joy, wisdom and character. Through wild & wonderful true stories, fascinating facts and beautiful music composed by Johnny himself, audiences are taken on a journey of one of the most breathtaking landscapes on the planet - Alaska.

Johnny B. was classically trained in California as a child and influenced by jazz, rock, and pop. His composing and performance passion urged him to attend the Berklee College of Music in the late 70s.
Johnny B. moved to Alaska in the early '80s and has been composing music about the wild lands, waterways and wildlife ever since.

Johnny B.'s SWIFT CURRENT SWIMMER
Swift Current Swimmer is the title of one of the award winning films in this program. Swift Current Swimmer is a sweeping, emotive piece that mirrors the epic life cycle of salmon from their birth in gentle mountain streams to their return as full-grown adults. Other films, which Johnny B. accompanies with live piano look at glaciers (Blue Ice) and the coastal brown bears of Alaska (Ursus Acrtos). The performance is filled with first hand stories and stunning videos. Uptempo and fun!
